St. Patrick's Day - "Tasting of the GREENS!"

We tasted many "healthy" green fruits and vegetables!  Some we really liked and some "not so much!"

We used our five senses to describe each green item!
We then voiced our opinion on what we liked or didn't like!

Green Eggs and Ham

Yesterday, we combined with Mrs. Richardson's class and  read the story "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss.  After reading the story, we made green eggs with ham and ate it!  We realized that it was really good!!!

We cracked open the eggs and made a guess about what we thought would make the eggs green.  Briona thought if we stirred it really fast, that might make them green, so we tried stirring.  The eggs, stayed orange, so we had to think of another idea to make the eggs turn green.
We decided to add green food coloring.  It made the eggs turn green!!
We put the eggs on the hot skillet and scrambled them.

                                                      Yum! Yum!

After reading Green Eggs and Ham, I posed the question;
"Have you ever thought you didn't like something, but when you tried it, you realized you really did?"

Lauren said, "I didn't think I liked green beans, then I end up liking them!"
Jacob said, "First I didn't like Bar-B-Q sauce, and then I liked it!"
Ismael said, "I like apple!"
Jordyn said, "I didn't like corn, but I ate it and I like it!"
Victor said, "I didn't want to try eggs, but when I did I said, Hey these are not bad!"
Antwan said, "I tried sweet peas and I liked em!"
Ja'Bron said, "I didn't like macaroni and cheese, but when I tried it I liked it!"
Diamond said, "My Momma fixed bread and then she said, try it and then I ate it and I liked it!"
